Life and Death, Darkness and Light in Witchcraft

We are delighted to announce that Wendy is offering a half day workshop, “Life and Death, Darkness and Light in Witchcraft”. Wendy has run Witchcraft workshops for many years, and her relaxed and joyous approach to the Craft opens unique gateways of depth and magic within each group. For this workshop Wendy will explore the healing power of Darkness and its necessary place in the cycles of Life.

Here’s Wendy’s description of the workshop:

Dedicated as we are to a spiritual path that honours Nature, it is vital for us as Witches to lead the way in forging a new relationship with the healing powers of darkness. In a culture that shuns the dark, that regards descent into the sacred Underworld as a disease that requires medication rather than meditation, it is our role to embrace and share with others the full spectrum of the cycles of Nature. The Earth teachers us that darkness and death are necessary aspects of life. There can be no Summer without Winter, nor day without night. As creatures of Earth, we too need these periods of stillness, darkness and solitude. We must remember that the seed needs time below the ground if it is to germinate.

In this half day workshop, we’ll explore the cycles of Nature, and share our experiences of The Underworld. Utilising meditation and mythology, we’ll explore techniques for journeying through dark times safely, for only through fully experiencing the darkness can we embrace the joy of light.
