| I am frequently asked to either do or sell a spell. I
will do neither and I won’t stock “ready made”
or “instant spell in a box” style products. I
believe that such products show very limited understanding
or respect for the art of spell working. They also encourage
a quick fix mentality that I believe is not healthy.
A well crafted and executed spell is a very effective tool
of change. However, it requires much preparation of both the
self and the spell. This frequently means research into the
most appropriate correspondences, gathering of materials and
tools and readying of space and time, along with building
and gathering energy around the self. Then there is the actual
working of the spell which requires concentration, focusing
of energy and then its release. This is a complex task that
requires a high level of awareness and commitment to the task
at hand. It also leads the spell worker to be fully informed
and aware of what they are doing.
Unfortunately, spells in the modern vernacular are promoted
as a simple, quick fix option. For someone who knows what
they are doing they certainly can be, but for most of us and
especially for the “weekend witch” or occasional
dabbler who lacks a strong grounding in both knowledge and
energy of the esoteric, spells can lead to all kinds of mischief
and mayhem! Not to mention the karmic return. It really is
not as simple as just following a recipe and hoping for the
best. Anyone can follow a recipe but few of us can bake a
perfect sponge first time, let alone every time. It requires
practice and a feel for the ingredients and tools. And it
is exactly the same for spell working.
Many people come to spells as a last resort or final desperate
bid to change something. Frequently this means that they wish
to influence the feelings or actions of another person. The
energy of this kind of approach is certainly passionate and
strong but it is rarely clear thinking or controlled and this
means that people will do or say things they will later regret.
This is the main reason I refuse to do spell for someone.
Another reason is that I believe that much of the power of
the spell comes from the process of preparation and research.
And lastly I do not do anything that interferes with the free
will of another; I don’t need the Karmic consequences
thank you very much!
What I will do is advise the spell seeker to do a working
for themselves. One that invites into their lives all the
things they want. I expect them to do their own research and
preparation. The only previso is that it doesn’t involve
influencing the free will of another being. So instead of
calling for Joe Bloggs to be their boyfriend, I suggest they
invite into their life a sincere, genuine, kind, honest, single/available
man who genuinely loves them for who they are. If Joe Bloggs
is this man, then so be it. If not then it opens the way for
a man of that description to come along. This is a much more
balanced and healthy approach to spell work plus... it works!
